Diagnostic Agent can't connect to Solution Manager

Dear Experts,

I got the following message in the SMDsystem.x log file when I tried to configure manually the connection of Diagnostic Agent to Solution Manager.

What would be the problem?

Hi,

SMD agent is not able to connect to solution manager neither with message server nor with P4 port. Check below link to troubleshoot.

on top of that, could you please ensure port 8101 is opened on you satelite system and solman.

run telnet solman 8101

Thanks guys for giving me some advices,

There're no firewall on for both servers as there are located in the same LAN.

I tried to change the SMD_ADMIN's password in Solution Manager, and ran smdsetup again in managed system with the new password, then I restarted the Diagnostic Agent.

The following is the new message logged in SMDsystem.x log file.

the easier way is uninstall the DAA and install again, and see how it goes.

Please make sure all the agent related user on the OS  level  have full access.  ??

You're right Nicholas, I did what you suggested by uninstalling and reinstallating the Diagnostic Agent, and it works now.
