Dear Experts,
My question is regarding batch derivation
my understanding of batch derivation is as follows correct me if i am wrong
I have a Finished Product contains component A which is batch managed and by means of Logistics ® Central Functions ® Batch Management ® Batch Derivation ® Receiver Condition Records/Sender Condition Records ® Create. i can derive batch characteristics value from component batch number to finished good batch characteristics
there is a scenario where to make a Finished product A (100) need 100 kg(bom component A)
some times we may have component A batch A 50 and Component A batch B 50
during process order creation we assign both batch A and Batch B equally
now my question is what happen does the batch A characteristics will derive to final product or batch B characteristics
thanks in advance
Regards
Raj
When you set up the receiver records, select the characteristic and then click on the tab labelled "RULES". On this tab you should be able to selected how you want the value handled. Standard choices are Minimum, Maxium or Average for quantitative, numeric characteristics.
It sounds like in your case you probably would want average. I beleive this is a straight average however and not a weighted average, but you'll have to verify that.
