Shopping cart approver of type Service users cannot be added

Hello Experts,

While creating/ changing a Shopping cart we have a option to manually add approver. In our quality system for test purpose we have approvers of type service(You can find this type in SU01under Logon data).

If we add an approver of type Service then after saving the Shopping cart this approver is not retained in the system. but if we add an approver of type Dialog, then Shopping cart is working fine(New approver is retained in the Shopping cart).

It is highly appreciated, if some one can help me to identify the place where the Service users are dropped or are there any other way to address this issue.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

One can debug RFC calls between systems using Dialog User; where one can't do it by Service User.

One can search help functionality using Dialog User; where one can't do it by Service User.

Service Users type is a dialog user available to a larger, anonymous group of users.

For service users multiple log on are permissible.Hence a very restricted authorizations are offered to this user type. Where as multiple dialog log on are checked and & logged if required.

Both the users types have different purposes. Dialog users represents individuality. Service users represents in a larger extent like a group.

Now in SC case approver has individuality; So it's recommended to have dialog user as a approver.
