BR0100E Internal error for at location main-17 after Oracle Physical Standby SWITCHOVER

Hi all,

We are starting to get

BR0100E Internal error for "<-path -and-filename-of-archivelo->" at location main-17 after we've done a test SWITCHOVER of the SAP database.

There is no archivelog gap, no lock file and no errors in the database log.

Has anyone encountered this problem before and know the solution?

Database Version is Oracle 9.2.0.6

BRARCHIVE is BRARCHIVE 6.40 (49) ... another ...

FYI, am only the DBA for the database, unfortunately, the SAP ADMIN does not know what else to check either. Currenty logging call with SAP Support at the same time that am posting this,

Any advise will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Can you please check the SAP note

Note 680046 - Corrections in BR*Tools Version 6.40

and apply patch 52 of the br*tools for Kernel 640.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Will check on the SAP Note and see if it applies.

Can't apply any patch though ... we'll see how it goes ...

So far, looks like some archivelogs are getting backed up and some aren't. I may be able to differentiate if the ones that are not getting backed up are those that are involved in the SWITCHOVER.

Could you explain in detail?

What you were doing? a normal switchover between Primary and Secondary?

At what phase you encountered the issue? During switchover or recovery?

What is the gap of archivelogs?

What are the steps you performed as of now?
