Dear Experts,

Please let's know can we delete below files manually, sap note#39261 is also n't  useful for us. there are 2 types of files building up space in /usr/sap/PRD:

1) file name is only "core"    2) files name is core.12345; core.13614 like this

-rw------- 1 prdadm sapsys 4.5G 2012-06-11 21:00 core

-rw------- 1 prdadm sapsys 2.6G 2011-08-25 15:15 core.13284

-rw------- 1 prdadm sapsys 2.5G 2011-08-24 15:14 core.13614

How these files generated at OS level

Yes, these files in work directory....

So we can delete both core & core.12234....

One more question please...

There is also .lmvw.read & lmvw.conv files guzzling space..
What ur suggestion for them...

It is safe to delete core file from /usr/sap/SID/Instancename/work directory.. if you do not need them for error analysis.

core.13284 & core.13614 can also be deleted/moved .. they looks OLD enough of 2011 and probably are generated by workprocess dump.

I'm not sure of  .lmvw.read & lmvw.conv files.. where are they... in work directory ??
