Change BOM Valid From Date per Item

We use Engineering Change Management, so all changes to BOMs go through ECR/ECOs.  I would like to change the Valid From dates on a single BOM per item.  Is this possible?

For instance, on BOM XXX

Item B1 needs to change to B2 and have effective date 1/1/13

Item C1 needs to change to C2 and have effective date 8/1/12

Item D1 needs to change to D2 and have effective date 3/1/13

I have found using the Alternate Dates function I can use a Valid from date of F1 for the ECR/ECO, and F2 for a BOM on that ECR/ECO, but that date affects all changed line items on the BOM.  I cannot find a way to change the Valid from date for line items individually.  Is there a way to do this, either in the ECO, or otherwise in CS02?

Hi,

each BOM line item needs its own Change Number in this case, as you want different valid from dates on the same BOM.

If you want to keep those changes under one umbrella, you could use the concept of Engineering Change Hierarchy, see:
