Guys please suggest best way to get source code
Thanks,
Giri.
Hi Giri,
For the modifications you need to create a NWDI track.
Check note SAP Note: 872892
It contains a ZIP file that will explains NWDI XSS/ESS track configuration steps.

Hi All,
We had an Issue with NWDI
Our (NWDI)devinf Url is different server, and SLD(url) is different server , for to connect NWDS to NWDI
Windows --> Preferences --> Java Development Infrastructure ->Development Configuration Pool
here which url we need to maintain ? "devinf url or sld url"
I thought SLD url is need to maintain is it correct ?
Guys please conform me back
Thanks,
Giri
Guys
I had one more issue in our landscape
in intial days our SLD is centralized SLD , so at that point of time in NWDI they maintained "centrailized SLD details " it's a different server (diff URL)
NWDI also different server(diff URL)
But recently they maintained local SLD means ,
for Dev Portal and Quality Portal and production portal they mainatained Local SLD details in their "Visula Administrator" ->SLD Data Supplier
now we are not maintaining Centralized details in any of the Portal "Visual Administrator"
but the centralized SLD server was available , but we are not using any where , but these SLD details are mainatained in NWDI only.
please conform me back which is the best way , which SLD Deatils need to maintain in NWDI
Thanks,
Giri
Hi Govinda,
The very simple way to get the code for your standard ESS/MSS applications in the form of .EAR is to deploy them in SDM to get .SDA.
When you extract this .SDA file you get .Project file containing folder. This whole folder can be imported into your local NWDS by using the following path.
File-->Import-->Select Project in workspace --> then browse the location of the folder --> Next --> Finish.
Now you can see all the components of the DC. Now do the modifications and deploy the modified DC again to get .ear.

Hi Govinda,
I did got a situation when I dint had access to NWDI. I needed to move my custome development objects from development server to quality and then to production. At that point of time I only gave .ear file to basis team and basis team people deployed this .Ear file onto production server to get .SDA file. So, like I thought this might help you in anyway. It was only my suggestion and you need not follow my procedure and I dont want you to end up with some mess up. There are many experts out there who is ready to help you. No offence.
Please do let me know the solution when you resolve this issue.
