Dear experts,

We're getting a problem during the MSCS installation step MSCS Node A Configuration.

When we run this step we get an error:

"FSL-06002 Error 1722 (The RPC server is unavailable.) in execution of a 'OpenSCManager' function, line (130) with parameter (ServicesActive).

MOS-01203 Could not stop the 'SAPOSCOL' service on host '\\NOT_EXIST'

Could you help me in this issue?

regards,
Filipe Vasconcelos

Can you check the properties of the saposcol service . In the logon tab , what is the user ID?

Also check if you can stop/start the service logging in with the user with which you are performing the installation?

Is the name of your host NOT_EXIST?

Check if you can ping the hostname.

Hello,

services RPC are running and the error remains. Anyway, I stopped saposcol and it doesn't solve.

I can't install the latest SAPINST because for release 6.40 there is no update. There are updates for SAPINST in release 7.00

Any other ideas?

Filipe

Can you check the hosts file on the node you are installing.

Check the hosts file has the entry

127.0.0.1

localhost

Please check if the following services are running

1)  Remote Procedure Call

2)  Remote Procedure Call Locator

Start-->Run Type services.msc

Hi Filipe,

Download latest sapinst from SAP Marketplace and start the installation, again.

As a second workaround, stop the SAPOSCOL manually and retry the step.
