UK RTI (Real Time Information) implementaion R/3 and PI

Hi Experts,

We have ECC 6.0 and PI 7.1. We have implemented UK E-filing using standard functionality given by SAP.

Now we need to implement UK RTI for UK tax filing.

I need information about this on R/3 like reports, any new sap notes etc and information of PI side for connectivity to UK HMRC.gov.uk. We have achieved connectivity by using guidelines given on SAP market place SAP ERP HCM >> Country Information >> Europe >> Great Britain >> Media Center >> Efiling.

But I don't see any information for RTI on marketplace.

Please provide any information on this from R/3 as well as from PI side.

Below two links gives good understanding as they have already implemented the solution in Pilot stage…Please also find one of the RFP submitted by the vendor for Auto enrollment, may be in your case your vendor may come up likewise.

Some important extract from above links for your notice.

For most UK based organisations using SAP HR the start of the new tax year in April 2013 will bring a significant change: the old e-filing solutions(Your current solution for P45 etc…), will be replaced by RTI (Real Time Information).

The solution will make use of SOAP adapter based on the XI protocol to communicate with the ABAP backend system.

The interface will be designed to support the following 4 main RTI submission types

  1. 1. Employers Alignment Submission (EAS)
  2. 2. Full Payment Submission (FPS)
  3. 3. Employer Payment Summary
  4. 4. National Insurance Verification Request (NVR)

NVR, FPS and EPS use the same schema but each has a different message ‘class’. The class used by the Gateway to determine the content of the submission. Only one of these file types can be included in a single submission.

EAS has a separate xml schema with its own message ’class’ at the Gateway.

For example

Must be set to HMRC-PAYE-RTI-FPS for Full Payment Submission

For Testing

Must be set to HMRC-PAYE-RTI-FPS-TIL for Full Payment ‘Test in Live’ Submission

There are many protocols/communication standards available to interface ECC and PI for real time. You might want to first check about the requirements. You can then choose the adapters/protocols that supports real time

Hi,

Please try SAP NOTE - 0001630586

We have implemented this Note.

This note has instructions for PI also (PI import (IR) configuration (ID) is done)

When I ran the RTI EAS I got following error:

The 'n0' attribute is not declared

Based on this error, I have following questions:

1. OSS note doesn't talk about destinations address. What should be destination address for RTI? (same like E-filing https://secure.gateway.gov.uk/submission OR different one).

2. Can we have efiling and RTI processing simultaneously?

3. How to avoid above error?

Your response is appreciated.

I am not sure about standard content but you can try using web service based communication to connect UK RTI. ECC side your option like Proxy/IDoc or RFC.
