Lock file 'OraBRCopy.lck' is locked by other process.

Hi Experts,

While creating control trace file for system copy I am getting this error message "Lock file 'OraBRCopy.lck' is locked by other process". I know this question has already been asked many times but I have applied all the possible solutions but it did not work. Please help me to resolve this issue.

System Status

1) SAP application (ECC 6.0 EHP5) is down.

2) Listener and oracle (10.2.0.2) database is running.

Hi,

Download latest ORABRCOPY on SAP Marketplace and try again.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply but I already did it and it did not work out but eventually issue has been resolved.

Follow the below points to resolve this issue.

1) fuser -k -x -u -c /tmp/INSTDIR

2) stopsap db ( Make sure no SAP application service is running)

3) stop listener

4) start listener

4) startsap db

Then again hit that command it will work.
