Hi:

I am facing an issue at the time of asset retirement. Asset recon account is highlighted in the entry that system simulated at the time of asset retirement but upon posting system issues error message as mentioned above but in error message system deriving wrong posting address BICYCLE/411003. I have read the symptoms of  error message but not clear why is 411003 being picked up.

BICYCLE is fund center whose funds have been derived from main fund center Assets, now upon retirement system giving error message with wrong commitment items 411003. Is there any separate configuration in FM for retiring the asset.

Hi,

Set a trace on FMDERIVE, perform the assets retirement, and you'll be able to see what commitments items are derived and based on which condition. There is no special setting in FM for standard assets operations.

Hi:

Commitment items for one of  p &l account for gain or loss on asset retirement was not entered in GL master data.
