Folio Numbers in Excise group

What is the use of folio numbers in excise group and effect.

hi

this folio number means J1IJ excise invoice number , it depot excise number , when do not activate this when you create the J1IJ on that time system will through the error message ,

this folio number maintain number range object J_1IRG23D at SNRO t code , it means RG23D creation for folio number ,

you should check the F1 for that field then you under stand ,

it for RG23D register number ,

Hi siva,

Automatically generates a folio
number when you post a goods receipts and goods issues that are recorded

in register  RG 23D.

That means :- when create migo, PGI  that time material document create and hit RG23D register and system create automatically number in depot sales.

Have you gone through the explanation after pressing F1 in this field ??  I think, it is self explanatory and could understand that it would be used in Depot process.  If you are not still clear, then again click on folio number which is showing in the first para so that you will get further details.
