Mobile server configuration in SAP BI 4.0 Version

Hi all,

Is mobile server part of BO enterprise server in SAP BI 4.0?What exactly mobile server plays a role while connecting to different Androids? What steps we need to follow for deploy reports in mobile for SAP BI 4.0 Version? Can someone please help regarding this Issue..Awaiting for your valuable reply.....

Hi Srinivas,

Atul is right, Android app for BO mobile does not require these servers. It completely utilises the MobileBIService.war file.

Hi Srinvas,

Th mobile servers are integrated with BI 4.0 deployments. However, they play a role while configuring

Symbian, blackberry or windows phone devices, as the communication goes through the VAS and VMS servers.

However, for dealing with Ipad and android devices, the MobileBIService.war file that comes with the installation plays a vital role in all the communication between the device and the server, keeping the VAS and VMS out of the loop.
