Hello Ravi,

Once you activate Credit Management, it will do Credit Check for all the Customers.

Now, in your requirements, you will have to define two Risk categories (one for Customer who require Credit Check & another for customer who do not require credit check) Maintain the respective Risk Category in FD32 of all Customers.

Now in OVA8 for Risk Category of Customers who require Credit Check, maintain necessary Block & Error message. For Other Risk Category (Customer who do no need Credit Check)  maintain liberal controls or no controls in OVA8.

Hope this helps,

Thanks,

Jignesh Mehta

Thank You all for your response.

Do we need to maintain CCA at customer master level?

Is this required for credit activation?

As per all your coments if we do not maintain CCA at customer master level it will not go for credit check.....?   I don't think so.....

Agree with Jignesh comments ( once you activate credit mgmt. it will check for all customer) -- Assign salea area to CCA and Co. code to CCA ( Pls correct correct me) to activate credit check.

Now, do we need to maintain FD32 for all customer or not?

Please share your opinion.

Ravi

hi

ravi

when you create the credit control area , it assign the company code , it means it applicable to all company customers , no it means the control control with company code level,

as same thing when you can assign the sales area to credit control area , it this assignment only , not applicable to all customer ,

when creation customer master data , on that time you can assign the one credit control area , then only that particular customer related credit control , after maintain the FD32 , then only that customer exceed credit explorer.

one thing you will check , at creation of credit control area , risk category field you can assign , then only all customers it will exceed for credit , before you maintain the that credit control are risk category combination maintain FD32 , after it exceed to  all customer

please do one test for this scenario then you have some idea ,

Dear Ravi

I too agree to what Bojja has said. If you dont maintain the CCA in customer master and also if you dont maintain FD32, then system should not do the credit check

Please do a round of testing as said by the consultants here and then post your reply.

Hello Bojja,

Not sure what you are talking about.

Not necessary to assign CCA at ustomer master level, as it is activated at Comapny code and sales area level.

Only thing is need to maintain FD32 for credit customer,  no need for other customer for which you do not give credit.

Ravi.

Hello Ravi,

As Mr Harish said, you should not assign the credit cotl area in the customer master records for whom you do not wish to apply credit checks.

If all credit setting are maintained; and if  credit cotl area is not assigned in customer master- sales area data-billing tab; credit check doesn't work.

Hope this clarifies.

Dear Ravi

In the customer master, maintain the credit control area for only those customers.

Maintain FD32 for those customers only

hi

you maintain the credit control area for specific customer only not for all customer , and also check the credit control maintain at FD32 for only one customer only,

mainly when you create the credit control area , here you not assign the risk category , when you can assign the risk category , it applicable  to all customer it means , with maintain any FD32 customer also , you should not maintain this field , then it comes only what ever maintain the FD32 that particular customer it comes ,

please check and conform
