Document Date Logic in sales order

Hello,

I need to understand the logic on how the Document Date  is determined is sales order, and billing document. I have searched mulitple discussion in forums and so far its clear that first priority depends Time zone mentioned in User profile. If this is maintained, actual date of user SY-DATLO is considered for document date.

Now my question is, if User time zone is not maintained, on what parameter / logic system considers system date SY-DATUM as the Document Date. And is this logic same for all the documents (sales order, delivery, invoice, accounting document)?

Before taking the system date, does it look at the time zone maintained in Sales org address / Company code address / shipping point address ?  is there any logic before it takes date from system time zone ?

i don't think so...

you would test it if you need.

take two users with diff. time zones. also use diff. sales orgs.(shipping points)

(try diff. combinations in SU01)
