add the exempt sales tax licenses code direct in sales order?

Hello to all,

we add the exempt sales tax licenses direct to our customer no. in US.

But if we have a CPD customer no., we need to add the exempt sales tax licenses directly in the sales order.

Is there a possibility?

You can try to add a text ID at the header level to enter the license details. Otherwise it looks there is no other standard filed available for entering the license details.

thanks for your answer / idea.

We had the same idea, but we need to have the license code in the sales order / field.

We need to find the correct sales tax ( condition type ).

We think, there is no field / no possibility to add the license code directyl in the sales order.

I thought you are trying to maintain the license details, however it looks tax data in the sales order. Did you check the fields in the sales order header level ->Billing tab Alt.tax classification fields and item level billing tab ->tax classification fields? I hope the user can manually add 1 or 0 in these fields to get the correct taxes.

1. Currently, in which field you are maintaining the licence details in customer master ? 
2. What do you mean by CPD ?? 
3. Do you want to validate for CPD customers not to maintain the licence details directly in customer master ?

  • VD02 --> sales area data --> view: billing documents --> Taxes --> Country US ( Tax category Tax Jurisdict.Code ) --> icon Licenses
• What do you mean by CPD ?? 
  • one time customer
• Do you want to validate for CPD customers not to maintain the licence details directly in customer master ?
  • if we create a sales order with a CPD customer no., we need to fill in the address manually.
  • and for this, we need to add the licence also in the sales order
