Dear all ,
pl guide for below Questions :
1) common inspection plan means :
inspection plan without material --> Enter plant only --> Now in insp characteristics i have :
mic1 DIAMETER
mic2 LENGTH
when this Common plan is assigned with material assignment for material A & material B , i can not have separate values of Lower & upper specification for material A & Material B . is my understanding is correct ?
2) When i am creating Inspection plan for material A in inspection characteristics can i have same MIC repeated number of time ?
for ex :
Operation MIC Short text
10 DIAMETER DIAMETER LOWER CYLINDER
20 DIAMETER DIAMETER UPPER CYLINDER
whether for this system will give Error message or Warning message in check consistency in inspection Plan ?
If warning message fine to me. If Error Why Error message ?
Pl guide for the same.Awaiting for guidance

The master inspection characteristic is already being used as characteristic 0020 in operation 0010.
If you want to use a master inspection characteristic in a task list more than once, you cannot print the master inspection characteristic on a certificate. You should also not use the master inspection characteristic as a SPC criterion for the control chart.

1) are you working with batch managed materials?
2) once you assign your materials you can goto the MIC in the plan and unlock the characteristic and then enter dependent specs in the plan. I.e. Each material can have their own spec assigned to each MIC. But I don't like unlocking MIC's, especially if the materials are batch managed.

Is there a reason you aren't assigning the materials to the same plan and then using Dependant Characteristic Specs in QP02? Might be a little more maintenance up front, but easier for the user in the end.
