Change of billing period and value in Billing Plan in Rental Contract

Hi Experts,

I am creating a rental contract for 1 year, say from 10.01.2012 to 09.01.2013. I have set monthly bill with billing in advance.

Now, in the billing period falling in March will be 10.03.2012 to 09.04.2012. But due to Financial year change, it should be split into 2 different billing periods.

1. 10.03.2012 to 31.03.2012

2. 01.04.2012 to 09.04.2012

I tried the same by deleting the belling period and manually entered 2 periods as explained above, but system is not splitting the billing value.

Please guide me on this.

Where did you changed the dates?

At Header Level or Item Level?

I believe that there is a indicator in Contract, where you can indicate whether Header Billing Plan dates can be different from Item level dates.

I dont need different header & item billing dates

Consider the below explained case,

Contract Period - 15.01.2012 to 14.06.2012.

Billing Periods- 15.01.2012 to 14.02.2012

                       15.02.2012 to 14.02.2012

                       15.03.2012 to 14.04.2012................and so on

But the revenue from 15.03.2012 to 31.03.2012 should be posted in financial yr 2011, and from 01.04.2012 to 14.04.2012 should fall in financial yr 2012 because of change in financial year.

How to map this??
