The attributes of the user are inconsistent or not defined. See transaction PPOMA_BBP

Hi All,

We have recently upgraded to SRM 7.0 Enhancement Pack 1

When the Shopping Cart approver opens a work item the following error is displayed : 'The attributes of the user are inconsistent or not defined. See transaction PPOMA_BBP'

All attributes have been defined ,all relationships maintained, and all checks show consistency so this looks more like an authorisations issue.

Can anyone help with this ?

Kind Regards

Paul

Update: Users who were in the Org Structure prior to the Upgrade and were migrated get the error message  'The attributes of the user are inconsistent or not defined. See transaction PPOMA_BBP'

However, if we create a new user they can open the work item.

Why would the migrated users not be able to open the work item even though they appear to have the same authorisations?

Hi Paul,

Can you check if you get the error even after assigning SAP_ALL to the affected users?

Hi Nikhil,

We have assigned SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW and still no joy.

We assigned exactly the same roles to the affected users as the newly created users that can access the work items.

To complicate matters it appears that a newly created user can open a work item created post upgrade but not a work item created pre upgrade.

Its strange, its like there is a problem with the data that has been migrated even though everything looks to be fine.

Hi Paul,

Could you please verify in transaction PP01 for position of existing User and Newly created user both of them have the same attribute such as US, CP and Organization they are integrated into....

Thank you

Hi Ritesh,

I have checked PP01 relationships and US, CP, BP and S (Position) are all as they should be. This issue only affects migrated users. If I create a new user they can open work items.

The migrated users also cannot shop whilst the new users are fine so it looks like there is something fundamentally wrong  or something that has been missed during the upgrade?

Kind Regards

Issue was caused by missing user validity info in table BUT000 (BUT000_VALID TO and VALID_FROM). This is a known issue which can happen during an upgrade.

Paul
