SAP NetWeaver (Java-AS) 7.2 - Trial without VCRole

Hi,

I have started with learning Visual Composer. Therefore, I have download the SAP NetWeaver Trial (Java) version 7.2 from SCN, but after installation, I could not found the role "VCRole" as well as the iView "PreviewWorkArea" and two directories, which has actually to exist.

Are there known restrictions for the trial version with working on visual composer?

are you able to find the VisualComposerUser role? There is no VCRole in 7.20.

Hi Anja,

yes, I was able to find the role vc_dev_preview. The VCRole role - as far I know - is available only, if you download and deploy (import) the VC-files package for SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.0 and older versions.

vc_dev_preview is not visual composer user role. Search for 'visual*' and you will be able to find it.

So, do you know what vc_dev_preview is used for? VisualComposerUser is actually for the end user to have access to the systems, created as (system) objects in Portal - System Administration/System Configuration/System Landscape, isn't it?

So Visual Composer User role is for access to VC while dev_preview is used for preview in the portal.
