How to start Visual Composer in SAP Portal 7.3?

Hi guys

I have a doubt about visual composer in SAP Netweaver 7.3. Do I need to install other components in order to start VC? for example Usage type  Composition Application, Composition Environmetnt?

in SAP Netweaver 7.0 Ehp1, I only went to this link http://hostname:51000/VC but in NW 7.3 it doesn't work, or I have to go to another link?

Hi,

For Visual Composer, I installed Composite components

Composite framework

Composite application

BPM

Start with what SAP Help states:

Accessing via browser: /VC/freestyle.jsp

and check that the prerequisites are fulfilled

  Error: Requested resource /VC/freestyle.jsp is not available.

Details:

File [VC/freestyle.jsp] is not found in application root of alias [/] of Java EE application [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples].

also when i installed Portal 7.3 i only choose this usage type

application server java

nw product description

application server java extensions

ep core

enterprise portal

adobe document services

Do I requiere another usage type?

I don't think that VC is a usage type. Check that VC is installed

There is only one componenet which begins with VC* ---> VC70RUNTIME

I guess I have to choose also these usae type:

composite application framework

composition environment platform

business process management and business rules management

Hi,

looks like VC is not installed. There should be some more than VC70Runtime. VC is installed only in usage type Composition Environment. But should be no problem to deploy it later on.
