Hi All,

Dis Advantages of using the Daily buckets in Demand Planning?

Why i have asked this question, I have a requirement to transfer the forecast based on the specific date for each product/ location.

To satisfy this one, i need to use the daily buckets, so before going to this i would like to know the Dis Advantages on this?

Livecache sizing requirements will be significantly higher with daily buckets. To meet your requirement of transferring a forecast on a particular date, it might be better to use a enhancement.

If your storage bucket profile associated with the DP planning area allows daily buckets, there is nothing wrong in using the daily buckets.

However, it would be a good idea to generate statistical forecast using monthly (or weekly) buckets and disaggregate the forecast to daily buckets based on the key figure settings (calculation type and time based disaggregation type). The quality of forecast generated at aggregated levels tends to be superior compared to that of generated at detailed level.
