Any clue on what are the ports that are generally used for HTTP or HTTPS in most SAP systems ? Is it safe to use standard TCP ports like 80 / 1443.

Thats completely up to you... but standards are absolutely fine.

Hi Jay,
By default in an JAVA system it is 5xx00 (where xx is instance number) for http and 5xx01 for htpps.
It is safe and convinient to use 80 and 443 but you need to configure it.
For ABAP ICM it is 80xx for http while 443xxfor https
