Message subject in sender AS2 channel

Hi All,

We have 2 inbound AS2 interfaces where XYZ partner is sending Orders , Deliveries  to PI over AS2 protocol.

We have 2 sender communication channels and the respective sender agreements with the set of same AS2IDs to receive the incoming AS2 message.

There is an option in sender AS2 channel to select Message Subject.

My question here is wat will happen if I maintain the message subject as * in both the channels.

Sender AS2ID , receiver AS2ID and message subject will be then same in both the sender agreements.

When a message is pushed from partner's AS2 server , how will PI identify which message is for which interface.

The reason for asking this question is we have such interfaces running perfectly fine in production and we are not able to identify the logic based on which the AS2 messages are routed to the corrrect interface.

Thanks

Srikanth

Hi Srikanth,

you cant create two comm channels with * as subject for the same parnter.

i guess you are using Seeburger AS2 adapater in PI, if your third partner unable to mention the subject then you have to use the functional acknowledgement config so that you can differentiate the interfaces easily

Cheers
