Safety Stock Method CIF overwrite

Hi Experts,

We are doing a test, where in i am manually maintaining MZ, MB as safety stock method in the location product master in APO. But, when i reCIF the product from ECC the safety stock method MZ is being overwritten with other SB, SZ, SM. What if we wan to restrict this change for selected materials only? We don't want specific products in APO with Safety Stock Method MB, MZ be overwritten.

using OSS note 707204 is risky since it is hardcoding in the exit.

You may set safety stock and safety time to 0 in ECC (MRP2 tab of material master) for the materials that you plan in APO with method MZ or MB and ensure that it won't be changed (may be a governance procedure). Since you maintain time dependent values for 9ASAFETY or 9ASVTTY in your data view, the zero value in ECC may not impact your functionality.
