How to use safety stock method MM with custom planning area?

Hi all

I need to use for some products planned safety stock method MM (Maximum from MB and MZ (Time-Dependent Maintanance)) and for others SM.

I cannot use the planning area 9ASNP05 but only a custom one, copy of 9ASNP02.

Anyone knows how to set this custom planning area for this purpose?

I have read that I can set the two KF 9ASVTTY (coverage safety) and 9ASAFETY (safety stock), but I am not sure how to set them and if it will work without impacts.

Hi Fabrizio,

Since you modeled off your PA based on 9ASNP02, ensure that the key figures 9ASAFETY and 9ASVTTY are added to your custom PA and same settings as 9ASNP05 are maintained for these key figures i.e. key figure functions 3003 & 3005 respectively, and add them to aggregate 9AMALO.

Create a data view modeled off 9ASNP_SSP and ensure that aux key figures as well as macros are copied to your custom data view. Adjust the data view display per your requirements.

For testing purpose, don't maintain any target stock level or target days' supply. Maintain the values in the data view and validate the results.
