Cross - Docking

Hello Guru,s,

I am new to WMS.

In current project we have to implement cross docking in warehouse, can anyone please share a stepwiese document on how to configurwe cross docking procedure & how to execute it.

Pl find the step sequence

No.	Process Description	T-Code
1.	Create   an Inbound Delivery	VL31n
2.	Create an Outbound Delivery	VL01n
3.	Plan   with cross-docking monitor	LXDCK
4.	Create   Put away TO for inbound delivery	VL06IP
5.	Confirm   TO for Inbound delivery	LT12
6.	Check   stock – material will move from storage type 902 to 916	MMBE
7.	Create   an individual shipment	VT01n
8.	Create   collective shipment – system will post PGI document	VT01n
9.	Check   stock	MMBE

Could you please elaborate the step with screenshot for step 1.3 - Plan with cross docking - LXDCK

I tried doing it many times but not able to perform correctly.

For LXDCK to work properly, you need to set the planning time window properly.

Outbound delivery time=Inbound delivery time+Planning time window-Def.Lat.Release Time

The time window can be set in SPRO->LE->WM->CD->General settings->maintain warehouse level settings

If the time is set right, then in LXDCK u just need to enter time and date for ur inbound and outbound delivery and click PLAN.

Thnaks again for your reply.

I tried to understand timesetting, but getting confused.

i am attaching the scrernshot for the customization setting i have done,

I have created deliveries inbound & outbound at 11am & 11.10am respectively.

Could you pelase suggest me what values i should put on LXDCK screen with screenshot so that planning wil be carried out.

considering both of your inbound and outbound deliveries on same day [as date is not mentioned]

11.10am [OBD] => 11am [IBD]-24[Planning time window]

this rule doesnt fit as both are on the same day, try to maintain 24hrs gap between your deliveries.

just enter the span of dates within which ur deliveries fall.

system will match and plan accordingly

Hello Pranab,

Thanks for your reply .. i am looking for some user manual type of document which will explain how to carry out cross docking step wise.

With reading on cross docking so far i have understood the part of customization required for cross docking & i have set it also in system but not able to execute the scenario... could you please help.
