SAPInst.exe failed with "a referral was returned from the server"

Hi experts,

  I got an error message: "a referral was returned from the server" when

running sapinst. I re-installed the OS before but I have left domain and re-

joined again. Anyway, how do I fix the problem now?

hi Dennis,

You are getting this issue due to in-correct Domain name. now You have to correct it and then it will work.

You can verify the domain via following path.

"Logon into the Domain Machine > Right Click My Computer > Select Properties > Click 'Computer Name' tab > here you can get the domain name.

  I am sorry. I don't get it.

My member server is tccdbm1.qcisap.corp and my DC is qrdcsapdc3.qcisap.corp. It seems that domain property is the same.
