you might want to check this link for sender adapter... Plus check whether you have firewall port connectivity issue between mail server and PI.

Check connectivity between PI server and mail server. If yes, ask your Basis team to resolve them

Do a Cache refresh and also do a stop/start of the channel

Also check the URL , give correct Exchange Server Name/IP address.

and confirm, if you have access to read the inbox

Also visit to the below threads

just try to use Outlook Express or Outlook to access your IMAP4 account (of course if you have port opened on your client desktop). First, you have to be ensured IMAP4 server works properly.

***********************************************************************************

Starting portqry.exe -n <ip address> -e <port number> -p TCP ...

Querying target system called:

Attempting to resolve IP address to a name...

TCP port <port number> (imap service): LISTENING

Data returned from port:

* OK The Microsoft Exchange IMAP4 service is ready

***********************************************************************************

Well, server seems to be OK.

Have you pointed AD-specific info (domain\username or username@domain) at channel?

URL has to be:

imap://webmail.manipalu.com/Inbox

It could be possible that the adapter is unable to find the Inbox------>Message attachment

1. Recheck the URL and correct it to imap://<Server Name>/Inbox  (specify the IMAP folder INBOX  and also try entering your IP address instead of Server Name, check if it works here )

2. Go to Module key tab and just check that if it is defined as  "sap.com/com.sap.aii.adapter.mail.app/XIMailAdapterBean"

3. Refresh Cache, Stop/start the channel.

Hello Priya.

Do you have POP3 or IMAP4 host nearly to your PI system, ready to connect on required port (110 for POP3, something else for IMAP4) ?

As you have mentioned the URL and rest parameters for Mail server

Do you need to know the place where you need to enter the Email address /User details that you are expecting the Email through

If yes, then  enter the Email address /User details in the User criteria and set a password..

Thanks,

thanks for the reply,

i have given that user detail only this much is sufficient for the fetching the inbox data from user..?

And the question is i am using the IMAP4 transport protocol.

i have given the url , but for this protocol port should be opened for the IMAP4 write? or what ?

because i am getting the error on sender channel.

"exception caught during processing mail message; java.io.IOException: unexpected greeting response;"

help me out on this

thanks
