XML messages into an excel sheet

Hi Experts,

In our current support project, i have to prepare an excel sheet of messages(site or city) created for the day and send it to the concerned person.

I have to list the messages into the tabular columns which contain (siteID, sitecode, sitename, citycode , legacycitycode,...) by viewing into the payload

for each message.

it is taking a lot of time as there will be at times 60-70 messages created or updated in a day.

instead i tried to copy into an excel sheet by downloading the payloads and opening with the exel sheets.

but the problem is when i open with excel sheet , another excel sheet opens(extra one).

moreever,

when i download all the messages(payloads) and tried to open all using excel sheet.

they are not opening in the single excel sheet, instead each message is opening into a separate excel sheet in addition to the blank one, so if

50 messages(payloads) are there , i open with excel after downloading, 50 excel sheets are opening along with the blank excel sheets. so there will be total of 100 excel sheets.

please  tell me as to how can i overcome this or is there an automatic option to download these payloads into an excel sheet.

i m caught up in the middle of this. please help.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Amarnath

Few cents.. There are some free standard and license tools for converting xml files to Excel format. You need to google for it.  You might also want to see these links to get a good start.
