printing with Hotkey Ctrl+shift+P - strange behavior

Hi gurus,

if the screen has a popup, the output for some user is without popup. IIt's strange, because it works on my laptop (win7) for 2 different domainusers, for one user not (me). On different XP laptop, it works with all domainusers correct. So no SAP problem, a windows problem.

Does anyone have a solution or know the appropriate entries in the registry ?

Win 7 /SP1

XP SP3

SAPGUI 7.20 with latest patches

All have the identical GUI settings, no different permissions in AD.

Thanks in advance

Thomas

Check out SAP Note 627753 - keyboard: Hot key Ctrl+Shift+P for hardcopy supported

You can make a hardcopy out of SAP GUI by calling the option menu (Alt+F12) and the item "Hardcopy". On a slower PC or with WTS (terminal service) the menu popup may also appear on the print-out.

The hardcopy has already begun before the popup menu disappeared.

The hot key Ctrl+Shift+P is supported to avoid the problem mentioned above. Besides using this hot key can create a print-out which can contain the status texts or popups if there are any on the screen.

SAP GUI also supports starting "Hardcopy" using the the caps lock key and treats the caps lock key just like a shift lock in this case. This is because in some keyboard layouts (like German, Belgium, French) the caps lock key has also shift lock function. That is, setting the caps lock on is the same with keeping the Shift key pressed, not only for the character keys like P but also for the keys with a number and some other special character(s) like the key with 1 and ! on it. With this support you can also starting "Hardcopy" by setting the caps lock key on and then pressing the keys Ctrl+P.

Hope this helps.

Not sure, but try changing the F4 help settings from Modal to Amodal (or vise versa)

You can do this via Help => Settings => F4 Help Tab.

Set the 'Display' subsection from Modal to Amodal, or vise versa, and see if this helps.
