settings and SMTP settings. It works fine. I can the get the e-mail in outlook.

But it works for 2 or 3 times per day. If again try to create a new opportunity the mail does not trigger.

I have checked SOST it shows error. the message contain wait for communication service.

How to solve the issue ?

Hi

Did you schdule the SEND JOBS in SCOT?

Select Send Jobs in SCOT and  Create New for your Address type ( For email it will be INT ). You can also run the job for all address types. Option Schedule job for all Address types

This job should run to deliver the emails and you can run only

Hi Vimal

I had a similar problem..  One of my requirement that a background process to send an email to the group of person based on the result from that background job.

In that company, network team had set up proxy server that monitors the mail server . The mails on certain domain are blocked.

So, in your case, ask your network/IT department regarding the Proxy.  You can ask them that s there any proxy that stops this specific domian?

In SCOT

double clik SMTP

Inthe popup - mail host -  mail.xyz.com - you might have specified the mail server address and Port 25.

- Are you able to ping it from the SAP server to mail server?

- At this moment the connectivty are established?

Secondly,

click on Internet button - Set

In address area - you should specfy *  to accept all domain

Kindly verify these check points..

SAPConnect SMTP Host should be active.

Please consult the BASIS person to activate it..

If ths SMTP service is inactive no emails will go from SAP...

Check also the services for SMTP port in SMICM

a) Goto Tcode SMICM
b) In menu bar clilck Goto -> Services

Check whether the port <NN> is in active for SMTP - Green Tick mark if it is active

(this port NN is teh same port that you should have specified in SCOT)

Hi Venkat,

In SMICM --> service settings --> SMTP service name/ port contains 0 value ?

Shall i change the same as in SCOT --> SMTP --> port id ?

Thanks,

Vimal

I think there is some mismatch between actual SMTP port and what you defined in SCOT.

Kindly discuss with  the Basis guy.

1.  The SCOT should define the SMTP configuraiton -  mainly port 25 would be used in general

2.  In SICF the SAPConnect should be active

3.  in SMICM  it should give active status..

Also kindly paste me the SCOT settings screen shot as well..

Please check the communication method of the user in SU01.

It should be E-Mail .

Go to SU01--> user --->Address Tab-->Comm.Meth
