Complete purchase order first or hold the changes

Hi,

We are on SRM 5. When a user is trying to change an ordered PO, he gets the message "Complete purchase order first or hold the changes". Follow on documents for this PO have been created. What could be the issue

If PO is not at all going in edit mode the only option is to reverse the goods receipt, make the corrections in the PO and post the GR again.

@ Malay: Thanks. What I did was to change the PO as per the quantity in the GR.

@ Vinay: Cancelling the PO is never a solution!! GR was already done!

Hi,

Whenever you order the PO; item data is sent to the Vendor. In a way it's completed.

Now as it's ordered you can cancel the PO & order it again. It will not show you error in this case.

I noticed that this is happening because of below messages in one of the line items

Quantity (+ overdelivery tolerance) is less than quantity delivered (2)

Quantity 1 smaller than quantity delivered 2

Delivery date not possible. Check your entry (Item 1)

The quantity may not be less than the quantity 2.000 already entered (Item)

Any help on this?
