How to block employees from the same department (eg. cost center) to enter hours in CATS

Does anyone in the community knows how to block employees from the same department to enter hours retroactive in CATS?

Hi James,

Based on the sending cost center and activity type  information. you try one of the following options.

1. If the sending cost center and the activity comes from the info types 315, then remove this information in the personnnel record.

2. If the master cost center is your sender cost center remove the rate record in KP26

3. If you have work center as employee number, delete the work center.

This will give error message while creating or tranferring records in CATS.

Hi,

Define seperate CATs data entry profile by checking  "Enter for several personnel numbers" in person selection section, here you can restrict the employee whom you want to block.

Hi SAP99,

We have restrictions in creating new data entry profile.

So this solution does not apply.

Do you have any other idea? An user exit for eg.

Hi James,

I am not sure about your business erquirement.

You could use user exit CATS0003 to build your own logic for performing any Validations.
