The preferred inspection type indicator is only applicable within the group of inspection types belonging to the same inspection origin. It has no impact between 01 and 04 lots.
You use this when you have more than one inspection type active for the same inspection origin. So for instance you have the standard 01 inspection type and you create and add another liek 01SOUR that you use only for the source inspection lot program. Both would be activated. You mark 01 as the preferred one. 01 will then be used when you do the GR and not 01SOUR.
