Experts:

We have a custom repository to be handled by MDM syndicator (7.1).

Could you please tell how to make it show up on the dropdown list at the syndicator logon pad?

Thanks!

Thanks to all. It is showing up as said.

Could you please tell me how to make the  connection between MDM repository  server and MDM syndicator an SSL connection? Should strustsso2 and SM59 be configured? We have high security

requirement for the connections.

Thanks again.

Hi cc 122010,

Below is an excerpt from MDM security guide:

SAP NetWeaver MDM 7.1 does not support single sign-on. When a client application is used, user IDs and passwords need to be provided to log onto the Master Data Server and the repositories.

The .NET and Java APIs use the user name and password or the trusted connection concept to log onto the Master Data Server and the repositories. For more information about trusted connections, see “Trusted Connection” below.

Please refer to this guide for further details.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi,

If you are on SP06 and below service packs of MDM 7.1 then you need to follow the steps mentioned by Tarun. If you are on SP07 or above, then there is slight change in the process. PFB the process:

  • Open Syndicator GUI and click on highlighted button:

  • Next screen will appear where you can enter server Name and then press 'Enter' to enable highlighted button:

  1. Click on this button and repository option will be enabled as shown below:

  • Then you can select the required repository from the drop down menu and connect to the same using your login ID and password. And from next time onwards the repository will appear automatically in the drop down of Syndicator GUI.

I hope this helps you. Let me know in case you have any doubts.

Thanks and Regards,
