Regarding Customer Waranty Start and End Date for Equipment Master

Hello,

Once I assign the serial number profile to the material, at the time of doing outbound delivery my material gets linked to the serial number and the equipment gets created, please let me know if any other setting is required also for the equipment to get triggered?, however in the equipment master ie02tcode how does the warranty start and end date for customer get triggered, Can this date be triggered once I complete my outbound delivery? Is this a standard feature or this needs to be done through development.

Hi Atul,

typically the status of equipment is "ECUS" (at customer) if you post goods issue of outb. delivery. So this should be the time where warranty starts, not e.g. end of picking.

You can use transaction SMOD with exit IEQM0003 to check status switches to "ECUS" and update your warranty date fields accordingly.
