inspection lot reset

Hello,

Could you please advise how to reset the  lot canceleration.

The inspection lot have a status:

REL

LTCA

PASG

CCTD

CALC

I did try to change it in QA02 function reset but it is grey .

Could you please advise.

It should be possible through QA02 only.

Hi Mark, Inspection lot will be cancelled (status-LTCA). YOu can reset cancelled inspection lot using QA02 unless UD is not done.

Could you explain why the cancelaration function is grey even the DU was not done.

If i want to cancel inspection lot with QA02 it is grey.

Mark,

You don't say what inspection types you are dealing with.  You can only use QA02 to cancel certain inspection lots, usually manually created lots.

If you are working with an 01, 04, 05, 08 lot you need to cancel the material movement, (MBST) to reverse the material movement which will in turn cancel the lot.

FYI - No lot is ever gone from the system.  Only the status changes.  To actually get rid of an inspection lot you must archive the inspection lots.  This requires some degree of planning on the part of the system admin.

There is some confution.If GRis created then this must not be a Manual lot.

If its not a manual lot then ,you can not reset cancellation.Hence it might be showing you grey.

Now when you cancel material document ,its hould cancel Inspection lot but you can not again reset it.
