Hi Gurus,

We are facing following problem in maintaining calls in stability study.

The material which is considered for the Stability study is kept under different storage conditions for different periods of time, which may be in days, months, years.

When, the material is kept in a particular storage condition as per the predefined time period, the system calls for inspection and gives the date for next inspection based on the predefined interval.

The main problem occurs when the next inspection date for a stability study falls in an leap year. Whenever, the year is a leap year the system should identify and correct the next inspection date.

For e.g.  If a material under stability study has inspection interval of 1 year and the study is to be carried out over a period of 6 years. Suppose the initial start date of the stability study is 1st April 2010, and the next inspection date as per the predefined time period is 1 year (365 days), therefore the next inspection date would be 1st April 2011.

Since 2012 is a leap year, the system should have calculated 365 days and given the next inspection date as 31st April 2012. However, the system gives the next inspection date as 1st April 2012.

Please let us know your valuable suggestiosn with regard to the problem.

Thanks in advance for all your help!

Select 'Time - key date' for scheduling indicator in maintenance plan.

For scheduling, one month is always 30 days long in the standard system.

Refer F1 help

  • Time

Today's date: 04/10/1998

Next planned date: 03/11/1998 -> Today's date + 30 days

  • Key date

Today's date: 04/10/1998

Next planned date: 04/11/1998 -> Always on the 4th of the month

  • Factory calendar

Today's date: 04/10/1998

Next planned date: 16/11/1998 -> Today's date (or next work day) + 30 work days

There is certainly one way , under maintenence plan header in IP01 ,there is provision of entering factory calendor.

You can define your own calendor as per your requirement.also you can have your own rule for the calendor.you can take care of your requirements here.
