Solution Manager 7.1 installation error:Windows system error message: 1753

Hi

I performing solution manager 7.1 installation. I am performing installation on MS SQL/ windows 2008 server.

Are you installing an High Availability  environment ?

If yes , check with your OS administrator if the cluster configuration has any issues .

Following the SAP guide for installing HA systems with MSCS .

I am not installing on HA environment.

My this error is resolved. I have uninstalled the feature of Failover cluster from server.

But now I am getting this error.

I have already check the thread.

But I could not follow how Kim resolved it:

I solved it. But it was something completely different.

In the final log file was an error as a registry path contained "<" as part of a <localmachine> regedit entry key for SQLserverExpress..

Why this and sqlserver express should affect SAP installation is beyound me.

So it was an "<" reserved character, and not "" as stated in the error message. That is very confusing

Go to the registry (Run --> type regedit)

search for localmachine

remove the angle brackets <>

restart the installation.
