Duplicate strange cofiles generated when releasing transport requests

Hello,

We are running SAP Ecc6 ehp5 on top of Oracle 11.2 and HP-UX 11.31

We recently noticed some a strange problem, whenever a transport requests is generated form our DEV system ;

two cofiles are generated

-rw-rw-r--   1 devadm     sapsys         388 Jun  8 18:06 K919579.DEV

-rw-rw-r--   1 devadm     sapsys         340 Jun  8 18:06 K919579.DEV_20120608180640_tpcofi.c_01141

An additional strage cofile with a timestamp is generated, that cofile is not necessary for the trasnport to QA,

only the usual data/cofile files are required.

At first, i thought it had something to do with the transport profile, but I didn't find anything suspicious

TRANSDIR            = /usr/sap/trans/00

#

JRD/DBHOST          = xxxxxxxxxxxx

JRD/DBLIBPATH       = /usr/sap/DEV/SYS/exe/run

JRD/DBNAME          = DEV

JRD/DBTYPE          = ora

JRD/NBUFFORM        = 1

JRD/TP_VERSION      = 266

#

JRP/DUMMY           = 1

JRP/NBUFFORM        = 1

JRP/TP_VERSION      = 266

#

JRQ/DUMMY           = 1

JRQ/NBUFFORM        = 1

JRQ/TP_VERSION      = 266

BTP_DOMAIN_DEV.PFL: END@

Any of you already faced a similar issue ?

Thank you

Hi Raoul,

These are not duplicate files exactly since the byte sizes are different. Anyways any kernel upgrade of DEV system? Looks like tp/R3trans issue.

Anyother ECC 6.0 EHP5 system with this same kernel level: Please try out a dummy transport release there and see if your experience the same case.

Any other ECC 6.0 EHP5 system with different Kernel level  : Please try out a dummy transport there as well.

This test might help is isolating the cause of the issue.

Regards.
