CUP Password - Send password in link - Blank Page

Dear All,

We are faing a technical error in GRC & SAP is trying to fix this for more than a month now...  Any help on this will be really great.

For a new user or  password reset, CUP sends a link to user mail.  This is as per configuration we need the password to be sent in link with display time as 300 Seconds. CUP does sends the password link.

When we click the link, CUP shows a blank IE page as password on top & two white lines. It does not show the password...  I've attached the screenshot for your reference.

Is this due to any setting in java level ??? security settings??? CUP sends password which has special characters..

When we setup the option of send password in mail - CUP sends the password in mail - which means password is generated in backend, cup is able to pick up... but the error is only when we send the password as link & the link shows blank page.

This is urgent & any help will be really helpful.

Hi Sudhakar,

Please copy the system logs here for the time when request is submitted. Take the note of time from background jobs first and then submit the request, fetch the system logs in 'debug mode' for the time span only.

secondly, after taking the logs, go to 'opensql_test.jsp' and run the query "select * from VIRSA_AE_EMLLOG"

Let us know if any new entry of e-mail is getting created or not? (make sure that e-mail reminder and e-mail dispatcher jobs are in active mode and once they are back in available mode from busy status then only run the query in SQL.

Hi Sudhakar,

Please ensure that in CUP Configuration => WorkFlow => E-mail Reminder go to 'closing' tab and set 'Send Password in mail'  = 'YES'

Kindly check that what is the time you have set for password visibility. Please try setting the time as around 30 to 40 Sec. and please ensure that you are clicking on the link just once as the password is available only one time.

Hi Sudhakar,

Could you Please confirm us the Support Pack level of your system as there are couple of issues

with the PSS email which are fixed in SP18 Patch 10.

Hello Shreya,

When you configure WorkFlow => E-mail Reminder go to 'closing' tab and set 'Send Password in mail'  = 'YES' -> then you cannot set the time as CUP sends password in Email.

With the option of NO & time as 30 or 999 Seconds, I face the same issue.
