Difference between New start save to call and scheduled save to call in Maintenance Plan?

Dear All,

Can  any body explain what is Difference between New start save to call and scheduled save to call in Maintenance Plan in sap?

Please explain with one example?

Hi,

Suppose you have a maintenance plan with frequency is 3 months and the scheduling period is 12 months.

When you do the scheduling with start date as 01.03.2012

The scheduling result will be

01.06.2012     NEW START SAVE TO CALL

01.09.2012     SCHEDULED CALL SAVE TO CALL

01.12.2012     SCHEDULED CALL SAVE TO CALL

01.03.2013     SCHEDULED CALL SAVE TO CALL

If you save the scheduling, the NEW START SAVE TO CALL will be immediately converted in to work order. The SCHEDULED CALL SAVE TO CALL will wait for the next schedule

when you schedule the maintenance plan the first call generated will have NEW START SAVE TO CALL, where as for next call the status will be Scheduled call save to call
