Automatic updated of next inspection after recurring inspection

Hello !

In need your help , please !

I have a material with inspection type 09 , only, and when the system create a material batch the next inspection is updated. When I execute the QA07 tcode, the inspection lot is create because next inspection is in the opening period. In fact, I enter the results and the use desicion but my confusion is : Why the next inspection is not updated next inspection after that. The problem is if I execute QA07 again , the inspection lot is created again because the next inspection is the same.

What is you inspection interval set for in the QM view of the material master for the material?

This is dependent of your type of material and business but is usually on the the order 365 days or greater.  Sounds like you might have this value set to something under 30.

As Sujit said, the next inspection date is calculated as the UD date plus the inspection interval.

Next inspection date for the batch get calculated/updated by two ways only.

1. At the date for GR + Inspection Intervals in the materials master.

2. At the time of UD for recurring inspection lot 09. (UD date of 09 Inspection type + Inspection interval for the Material)
