Extracting object definition documentation from universe(unv or unx)

Object Name/Class_Name/ClassDescription/Databaseobject from universe?

Try saving the unx file as a pdf and you might find all the details in that

Hello Philip,

To be more clear

Right clcik on the .blx(businesslayer)  and select Save As. You keep all the options checked and save it on your machine as a pdf.

Hi Philip,

In the PDF file you will get the metadata information of your business layer. But you would not get the format

the you are looking for.

Here is the sample dimension object (Country Id)metadata info when you create a save as pdf file for the bfx layer.

Country Id

identifier _kskHMK6PEeGuw9F7lXHafg

businessName Country Id

state Active

dataType Numeric

access Public

forResult true

4.0\Samples\webi\club".Region.country_id

Can be used in Result, Filter, Sort
