SRM implementation queries

Hi,
I have the following queries:

  1. The client wants Self Service Procurement, but also wants the PPS features of Procurement Library and Performance Bond & Bank Guarantee Management. This requires both Classic Scenario & Extended Classic scenario. Which one to use; can we use both the scenarios?
  2. The client is currently using ECC 5.0 and wants to implement SRM 7; which functionalities will be missing in this case?
  3. There is SUS requirement; do we require PI for implementing SUS scenarios or it can be handled through other means for ECC 6.0 EHP4? What to be used in case of ECC 5.0?
  4. Do we normally require separate SRM-MDM consultant or the SRM consultant does it for implementing catalog management? What is the industry practice?
Thanx
Mose

Hi,

1. As you have only option to go with SAP SRM 7.0; you should go with Extended Classic Scenario. It covers PPS, Self Service Procurement & SUS.

Both the scenarios are also possible; it's known as Decoupled Scenario.

2. I don't think you will miss on any required functionality.

3. You need PI in any case.

4. As per standard practice it's recommended to have MDM consultant. But SRM consultant can implement SRM-MDM catalog if one has knowledge.

I hope it clarifies.

Regards,
