PI 7.3 AEX Asynchronous Message Log Deletion.

Hello,

We have installed PI 7.3 AEX instance, and configured message persistence as below.

1. XPI Adapter: XI (Parameters):

     xiadapter.stage.conf : MS=3, VO=3

     xiadapter.inbound.persistDuration.default: 1296000000 (15 Days)

     xiadapter.outbound.persistDuration.default: 1296000000 (15 Days)

2. PI Background Processing "Default Delete Job" to run daily.

In Message Monitoring - Message Details , we are able to see aynch messages are persisted for 15 days (Persist Until value), but Message Log tab shows information for only messages which are 3 days old, and after upgrade to SPS 07 (performed yesterday), we lost Message Log information for all messages (only available for messages which are sent today).

Please suggest, which parameters are related for Message Log persistence.

Regards,

Mukesh Kakani.

Since release 7.1 there is an optimized handling of the audit logs as
described in SAP Note 1314974 (' PI 7.1 AF Messaging System audit log
persistence'). Audit logs are only kept in memory in order to improve
the performance. Only in case of error, the audit logs are persisted in
the database and therefore available as long as the message is in the
system. Audit logs for successfull messages are only kept in memory and
are deleted at some point - depending on the troughput of processed
messages. When the system is restarted the audit log memory cache is
cleared so the audit logs of successfully processed messages before the
restart are deleted.

If this behaviour is not acceptable for you and you want to keep audit
logs for all messages as long as the messages are persisted you can
configure this as described in the note: set the property of the
Messaging System service messaging.auditLog.memoryCache to false. This
means that all audit logs will be persisted in the database and no auditlogs will be kept in memory. Note that when changing this property it
will have an impact on the performance of the message processing.
