Hi Experts,

I need to implement an Java application to communicate to a serial port, then I need to exchange data between SAP and the Java application, suffering the net I found JavaConnector could do the job, I have installed JCO 3.x, I need details about what program ID should I put in the RFC destination in SM59? as found in web, some says that program ID is JCPSERVER01 but testing the connection always gives program not registered.

the communication should be done between an erp system and java application and no PI is there.

please help in how to make the JCO RFC destination running successfully.

NB: if I'm posting in the wrong forum, then please advice the forum to post in. Thanks

Best Regards,

Samir

You can use any name as program id. only thing is you must maintain the same name in both ABAP and Java.
