C203 screen - base qty for activity

I am CO consultant, but have PP question please:

On the C203 screen , Display Master Recipe, the system shows a base quantity. Does that base qty come from PLPO or PLKO? Or is it one of those "it depends" situations.

I have some materials where it seems to come from PLPO, and others where it seems to come from PLKO.

Dear,

PLKO base quantity is for header level

and PLPO is at operation level so values get picked from here

Go to master recipe C203 there are four tab first is for Recipe header there you will have Base Quantity

Quantity of the material to be produced to which the standard values of the operation. Same will replicate in your operation tab too if you don't change them manully.

Sorry, I didn't word my question very clearly: Sometimes the Base Qty on the operations tab is populated form PLKO, even though there is a value in PLPO. Why would that be?

Dear,

If the base quantity in the header has already been maintained, this will is used as a default value for the operation too.

One is from header table PLKO-BMSCH and the other is from Item/operation table PLPO-BMSCH.

So you will have BMSCH value in both these table.
