Validations in PS

Dear Experts,

We can maintain validations in OPSI Tcode in PS. There is an option to mention message class while creating a new validation.

I want to change the message class of an existing validation. But I see that this field is not editable. Is this the standard SAP behaviour

or am I missing any authorisation.

OPSI Tcode with message class field highlighted,

As seen above although the screen is in edit mode still the message ID field is disabled.

Kindly share your valuable inputs.

Regards,

AWF

Hi

Open the Step folder and go to "Message" . You will find option to change the class over there.

Dear Hemant,

Thanks for your instant reply.

As per your inputs I checked in step level. I can see the message class with an edit icon near by. I can change the messages in existing message class. But my requirement is the change the MESSAGE CLASS itself.

Once I click the EDIT icon highlighted above I am getting screen to maintain existing message class. I want to change message class from /ASU/GENERAL to my custom message class.

AWF

Thanks,

Hi Soubhagya,

Thanks a ton for your reply.

Your solution worked perfectly.

Sharing the same for others.

Select the project. Choose Environment-Change message class from menu.

A screen appears as below,

Enter the old & new message class and execute it. The message class will change correctly now.

AWF
